Hi peeps ! 😀
I Just talked with Big Investors about Exchange Token. Bibox are very VERY interesting right now !
No doubt Exchange token are still undervalued and became the new hype for the following months ! So Ride the wave 📈
We talked about Bibox, KuCoin, Binance, Huobi, Bitmax etc... but only Bibox has all the green flags we wanted to fully support and invest big capital ! No worry we love Binance too but we look MarketCap and undervalued exchange token with great potential first 💰

Here all the reasons why we're thinking Bibox will x100 (yes x100) from now the coming weeks/months :

So as you can see, BIX has more way to grow than any of its exchange tokens competitors like KuCoin and Huobi. Bibox is a top 5 Exchange with the #1 EOS volume on exchanges.
More BNB marketcap will grow, More BIX will grow more too ! that's near x100 BIX price GUYS !

#7 - ARIES WANG - Bibox CEO 💪

Thanks for reading my post, don't hesitate to join the official Bibox Telegram and the Bibox Hodler group to know more about the project and ask some questions, we will be here to help you 💪 Gz to all of you who read this post & enjoy the ride 🌕

NEX AMA Answers!

Some of the NEX team went through the questions asked a couple of days ago, but due to the answers being posted sporadically, i thought it might be better collating answers and reposting for visibility!
I highly recommend reading through if you are interested in NEX!
    NEX team marked as
U = u/Unignorant, C = u/Canesin, L = u/Localalhost_coz
Original post here
Q: What is the NEX marketing plan to grow in terms of a customer base ? And how far is the team away from a finished product? During most of the interviews I noticed the team reference comparison to Binance, how does the interface match binance in a decentralized environment? (u/sheldonbraganza)
(U)We will have a complete product out on TestNet in Q2, and a fully working cross-chain exchange on the NEO and Ethereum networks in Q3.
NEX is marketing to two primary groups of users: (1) Mainstream users who want an easier experience buying altcoins with cryptocurrency. Through our network of banking partners, we will make it easy for anyone in the world to buy tokens on NEO, ETH (and eventually other chains) using their national currencies. (2) Bots and traders: we aim to have best-in-class trading APIs for high performance, computational trading. We will have better and faster APIs than today's centralized exchanges, with the added benefit of these systems running on decentralized networks
The point of our off-chain matching engine tech is to enable the same (or better!) usability as an exchange like Binance, while keeping around the decentralized model. The off-chain engine makes trading just as performant as today's centralized exchanges, and makes it much easier to support the kind of cross-chain trading functionality that has long been a pipe dream for decentralized exchanges. We are very much inspired by other exchanges like Coinbase in this regard, and we will be the first DEX to achieve this.
(C) Just to remember that NEX is also going after costumers that usually are not considered by other exchanges with its features to facilitate peer to peer payments requests, invoicing and tipping/gifts.
Q:Can you elaborate on NEX staking? The whitepaper was fuzzy about it and had terms like "staking percentage". (u/r3dh4r7)
(U) The NEX staking rate will be from 25-75%. Committing to stake for one day gives a rate of 25%, which increases linearly to a rate of 75% if you are willing to stake for 2 years By staking rate, we mean the percentage of revenue you will get from NEX fee collection proportional to the tokens you hold. For example, if you hold 10% of all NEX tokens and are staking at a rate of 75%, then you will receive .10 * .75 = 7.5% of all fee revenue generated by NEX over that period.
We will confirm these details in an updated white paper release coming out today or tomorrow. ~ If you commit for two years, the first year will still be at 75%.
Q:How soon do you introduce Fiat pairs? (u/coinonymous1)
(U) Our network of banking partners will begin to go live in Q2. That means users will be able to enter the ecosystem with national currencies through the NEX extension and web-based exchange interface.
(C) To clarify, this are not direct trading pairs on the exchange itself (i.e. JPY/NEX) but a easy method to on ramp and cashout using the tools. Users will be able to acquire NEO and GAS with fiat and any other tokens traded at NEX will be using the exchange itself.
Q: The chrome extension is great but why should I still rely on desktop to access NEX interface ? When can we expect Iphone/ Android App? (u/cryptobuddy_1712)
(U) We are planning native android/iOS apps. Depending on how fast we can grow, they may be out by Q3.
(C) Mobile presence is a complex topic, depending of how much of the full experience you want to provide - that will depend on the support shown by 3rd party wallets, if they adopt NEX APIs.
Q: Will you guys be supporting Ledger integration any time soon? Nex chrome add-on, Nex exchange integration...?! Plans to list the Nex token on other exchanges before the release of your own? What are the plans to continue supporting Neon wallet now that Nex came out with their extension for chrome? Will Nex exchange introduce fiat deposits/withdrawals? (u/mihai_ss)
(U) Yes, ledger is on the roadmap. We cannot comment on other exchange listings right now. We love and will continue to support Neon wallet (you are speaking to its creator :) as a great desktop wallet and complementary partner to our extension. NEX will support national currencies in/out of the exchange through our network of banking partners.
(C) Not only ledger but hardware wallets in general. Ledger is priority currently given that it is quite popular in NEO. We have to have in mind that NEX is trying to do a lot of different things to make usage easier to new users (that probably don't have a ledger!), there is currently about 96k users of it (more than this sub) so we will focus on fixing the corner cases and issues that appears frequently with such large user base first.
Q:More and more people are using mobile apps for trading. Don't you think nex should also have its own iOS and Android app. Are the API being developed future proof to integrate with mobile apps for trading and seeing candle charts. (u/Cryptobanku)
(U) We agree with the power for mobile, and future proofing the API is 100% on our mind. Longer term, we are planning native iOS/android apps.
Q:So NEX is a security right? What does that mean exactly? The Token only will be available on the neon exchange? In order to get the exchange dividends are we gonna be forced to put our tokens on stake mode? If so, once we put our tokens on stake mode does that mean we are not gonna be able to move them or sell them for a specific period of time? (u/sersimovi)
(U) NEX is a registered European security. It will be traded on NEX exchange, but that is not the only place it will be traded (I cannot say more than that right now). Being a registered security is amazing for investors. It means that all of the sketchy things that so often happen with cryprocurrencies/tokens (things like market manipulation or insider trading) are made explicitly illegal. It also means that we, as a company, go through an extensive audit. For that, we have partnered with the top tier accounting firm Ernst and Young.
The staking model means that you commit to staking your NEX for a certain amount of time to receive a share of fee revenue. The minimum amount of time you can stake NEX is one day. The maximum time you can stake is two years. While staked, you cannot move or sell the NEX tokens.
(C) All that plus the investor don't need to fear it will crash because someone classified it as a security in the future.
Q:When will the official sale date be announced and when will the official tokens per neo be determined? (u/rborsb9)
(L) We are still working with our legal partners to determine a final sale date, but it will be sometime at the end of April. The tokens per Neo/Gas will be determined from the 10 day moving average of the price before the sale begins.
Q:What do you think sets NEX apart from the countless other DEXs that are starting up right now? Why should people invest in NEX vs Switcheo/Etherdelta/Binance(once they release)?
(U) NEX will be the first usable, performant, and cross-chain DEX. Out of all the exchanges you mentioned, none of them are using an off-chain matching engine, which quite simply means none of them can do what we are doing.
In addition to that, NEX has by far the most generous revenue share model of any exchange you have mentioned. This is because we are embracing being a security (not hiding behind some questionably legal utility token). The people who invest in us will be treated very well by this model.
As for competitors: Switcheo unfortunately doesn't work. There is no volume, and the SC is broken (or at least didn't work when I tried it; the transaction failed and it stole the small amount of GAS I tried to trade). Etherdelta has higher volume but still ridiculously low overall. And again, just try to use Etherdelta... it is a usability disaster. There is really no comparison here. Binance might do something interesting, if they decide to do anything. But we have better technical talent than Binance, so I am not too worried.
Q:What % volume neon exchange will support compared with top centralized exchanges? Thanks big neo fan! (u/myfriendbaubau)
(U) We will support just as much volume as today's centralized exchanges.
Q: Will NEX have a stable coin? (u/masi252)
(U) We have looked into various implementations and ideas surrounding stable coins and have determined that it is not something we are planning on doing in the near future.
Cont: What about when Alchemint releases? (u/Bing0to)
(C) We wanted to do a fundamental strong stable coin that was capital efficient. Unfortunately there is some pre-requisites for that to be possible that currently is lacking in crypto markets. We will continue to monitor how this space evolves and our ideas are stored waiting the future when they can be applied.
Q:Can we expect the erc20 token trading earlier than q3? (u/markerizza)
(U) Q3 is the current roadmap projection. It is possible it will happen earlier depending on our growth.
Q: Will the token sale be via smart contract, so that we recieve our tokens right away? (u/Ebrii)
(U) Yes
Q: will you guys have an official subreddit and telegram anytime soon? (u/markerizza)
(U) No, we dislike the idea of project oriented telegrams. There are too many opportunities for scammers. We may have a subreddit in the future, but not anytime soon.
Q: What is the plan to get liquidity on the platform? It seems to be the biggest problem with current DEXs. (u/Mutedtommy)
(U) We have strategic partnerships for this. We are also working with other partners to develop some nice APIs for high performance trading.
Q: On the site you say that the ORIGINAL winners can participate in the second round (9000$) options, do you mean only the first round lottery winners or the first and second round winners combined? (u/FrancoisFrancis)
(U) Any lottery winners (whether first or second draw) have the opportunity to participate in both rounds 1 and 2. Please see this medium post for clarification:
Q: If you chose to participate in round 2 from the KYC process, does that mean you are guaranteed a spot? The medium article seems to indicate there will be an additional lottery from those who selected that option to see who from round one is eligible for round 2. (u/DwyerMatt)
No one is guaranteed a spot in round 2. It is even possible (though extremely unlikely) that all NEX is sold out in round one. This would happen if everyone who is selected goes through KYC and participates at 100%. (U)
Q: Will NEX tokens only be tradeable on NEX or is there a chance of it being listed on other exchanges like Binance? (u/Frank_Sinatra88)
(U) See an answer above. Not just NEX, but I can't say more than that right now.
Q: How do you see NEO compare to other coins on its network ? Like another coin could be valued more than NEO itself ? And will NEX always be bound to NEO? (u/BN_Boi)
(U) It is unlikely but possible that a NEP5 token could eventually achieve a higher marketcap than NEO itself.
NEX is not bound to NEO much at all. Our token will live as a NEP5 on NEO, and that is how users will receive staking rewards, but we will support trading very early on Ethereum as well.
(C) Google runs atop of other companies infrastructure (telecom providers), but it is valued more than all of them. The same thing can (and probably will) happen in token land, it will just take a while - when infrastructure becomes less important than applications and platforms atop of it. Like with the internet.
NEX behind the scenes (as the DEX is cross-chain from start) is using NEO capabilities, but the future of both is broad and uncertain. As a long term strategy the NEX company will do what it can to improve its underling technology and remove risk from its business.
Q: Is there a vesting period for the half of available NEX tokens that will not be sold during the ICO? (u/ETHERjimbo)
(U) The founder and employee tokens (25%) will vest over two years.
Q: Whitepaper uses an example $100m in the fee distribution calculation. If NEX is truly a security token and the whitepaper is your prospectus then you must provide further data on fwd looking statements. The NEX token gives the right to fee distribution. Given this you must provide assumption based forecasts on expedited fees over the next 3 years. This will support price discovery. How can the market properly price the token when fee expectations are unknown.(u/nsheahan82)
(C) Fee structure is defined on whitepaper and version v1.1 contains a example section as stated. Version v2.0 (to be released very soon) contains the actual staking portion (25% to 75% linear over two years growth on staking).
Guess work on the volume would in reality be very indigenous, look at volume behavior market wise ( so much variation. Following the 3 years trend we could say trading volume will be bigger than the world economy, clearly that is not happening.
Q: Would NEX Staking be a 50% or 75% as stated on the whitepaper? (u/GMDaddy)
(C)See answer above, it starts at 25% and goes up to 75%. The increase is linear and maximum period is 2 years.
Cont: By linear, you mean like as an option where the user has the choice on picking whether to stake it from 25% up into 75%?
(C)No, when you start staking it starts at 25% and by linear I mean it increases at a constant rate of about 2.08% per month for two years until it reach 75%.
(U)To clarify fabio's comment: yes, you can choose a fixed rate of 75% by committing to stake for two years.
Q: A massive attraction to NEX is the prospect of decentralised banking. What makes decentralised banking better than traditional banking? (u/kabelofthe3rd)
(C)Our goal is to facilitate crypto trading at large, this touches from usage of applications to investing passing by funds management and invoicing solutions. What this enables is a digital cashless economy, we call it the smart economy. In the smart economy users are in control of their funds using this advanced technological tools to perform the tasks above and current banking solutions are no longer needed.
Q: Once NEX is rolled out, what will be the easiest way for US residents to buy some stake? I'm aware it's going to be issued as a security so I'm thinking the NEX token will only be tradable on NEX itself because most non decentralized exchanges will not list security's or tokens that don't pass the Howet Test. Is this correct?(u/Cozmo525)
(C)You are correct, for US persons you will need to wait other licensed exchanges list NEX or we acquire the proper licenses to allow US people to trade securities. Whatever happens first =)
Q: Can I stake only NEX or also other Token f.e. NEO? (u/masi252)
(C) NEO doesn't need to be staked, you already can claim GAS on NEX extension.
Q: How do you plan to compete with Switcheo when they have first movers advantage and will be live for months before your platform will be? (u/toneeey1)
(C)We plan to compete with anyone in our market by providing better products.
Q: Will TNC be utilized? (u/molly1nora)
(C)That is not planned, NEX has it own custom scaling solutions already in development.
Q: Do you see exchanges not listing NEX, due to the fact that you guys are direct competition? (u/detnah)
(C)That is a tricky question, I believe competition will not be with every exchange - in special centralized ones, as CEX they will more focused in national markets and we are going after broad chain level trade.
Q: Is there a chance in the future you will also introduce other coins to the exchange sich as ERC-20 tokens etc? If so you'd blow all competition out the water. (u/Frank_Sinatra88)
(C)Yes, ERC-20 tokens will be supported by Q3 together with NEP-5.
Q: Will NEX APIs support mobile Dapps or Wallets? (u/johndon96)
(C)Both, APIs are in general not target to a specific application, is up to the developers to use it in their products.
Q: What are the team's plans to make NEX the best decentralized exchange and one of the best projects ever released? (u/its_me_TAG)
(C)We will be working close to our costumers, never afraid of breaking status quo and never ending improvements. NEX will never be done.
Q: Are there any plans to open up some Nex-Stores in several spots around the Globe? (u/michaeluebelhart)
(C)No, but will have a online swag store :D
Q: Is it possible that in the long future to have forex pairs listed on NEX? (u/BR8889)
(C)In a future where fiat has token representations or stable coins are indeed stable.
Q: When will we see the updated Whitepaper? (I know for example that you plan to integrate ERC20 tokens earlier than mentioned in the original Whitepaper) (u/mambor)
(C) Target is this weekend. We could delay if redacting detects things that should be changed/improved.
Q: What is your go-to-market strategy? (u/Dux_AMS)
(C) We already have >100k users. ;)

BCH Massively Overvalued? Very Bearish

Spike in price
In general, I would argue that the cryptocurrency market has retraced the vast majority of the speculatively driven bubble of 2017, leaving us very near if not at the bottom of this bear movement. For the past few weeks, the entre market as a whole has been consolidating, forming levels of support.
Recently, Bitcoin Cash is an asset of particular interest, not only because this is an asset we are very bullish in the long term, but even more so because the market has propelled on the false pretences of a chain split.
The diagram above shows the price action for Bitcoin Cash over the past week. At the beginning of the week, from 31st October to 2nd November the asset was reportedly trading sideways between the $410 and $425 region.
If we now turn our attention to the past 4 days to be specific, we see that on 2nd November the asset began rallying. Volumes, shown by the vertical black lines, increased sharply and price followed suit.
The main catalyst for this bull run coincides with the anticipated chain split. There have been several different factors at play which have caused this unjustified bullish movement migrating beyond the $600 region.
Binance Announcement
The main catalyst causing the rally, in my opinion was the announcement made by Binance exchange.
As shown above, Binance released a statement that they will be supporting the hard fork on 2nd November causing massive surges in volume and price. In my opinion this is a strategic move by Binance as if they are the only exchange that announces their support, BCH volumes will bleed from other exchanges into binance, increasing their volumes regardless of a chainsplit. This is the huge misconception in my opinion.
After noticing this, Coinbase seen followed suit.
Coinbase Announcement
As per the announcement above, Coinbase also released a statement on 4th stating that they will be support the upcoming BCH fork. Analysing the chart showing BCH price action also shows bull pumps on this date too.
The table above shows the total volume traded using BCH over the past week. As we can see on 2nd November there was a huge increase in volume, increasing over 100% from the previous day. Furthermore, on 4th November BCH volumes further increased nearly 300% from the previous days, showing the impact of Coinbase also supporting the fork.
The next area of analysis should concern other reasons why there could have been a price increase, independent of the announcements made by Binance and Coinbase.
Some would argue the price of BCH could surge over the anticipation of negative news associated with BTC - As the assets are considered somewhat substitute goods. I don’t think this is the most compelling of arguments as there is mainly bullish news upcoming for BTC.
  1. Baakt exchange
Baakt exchange is scheduled to go live on 12th December. This is massive for the community as it could act as the reassurance traditional institutional investors need in order to safely enter the space, using the trusted Goldman Sachs as their “Cryptocurrency prime brokers”.
  1. ETF
The ETF is a decision in which has drawn the attention of the entire cryptocurrency community. An approval could very much be the catalyst for Bitcoin breaching ATHs and heading toward the $50,000 and $100,000 benchmark commonly spoken of in the space.
The graph above demonstrates Bitcoin’s dominance. As we see the ATLs of January 2018 and a revisit of these level in July 2018, the Bitcoin ETF played a huge part in increasing Bitcoin’s dominance. If we now explore the difference in market conditions from July to present, there hasn’t been any significant development work by Bitcoin developers, nor has there been friendly regulatory framework - quite the opposite actually with RBI and PBOC. Consequently it would be sensible to assume Bitcoins dominance is at circa 50% due to the ETF largely.
  1. Hashing power
The chart above shows Bitcoin’s hashing power alongside that of Bitcoin Cash. Exploring the chart we see the hashing power of BTC increasing on 2nd November and 4th November. We can therefore rule out the idea of a shift in hashing power from BTC blockchain to BCH blockchain as a reason causing the increase in the price of BCH.
  1. Mining profitability
The chart above shows the profitability of mining Bitcoin Cash compared to mining Bitcoin. As we can see, it currently more profitable for miners to mine Bitcoin instead of Bitcoin Cash. Therefore, there would be no monetary incentive of mining which could have led to miners switching to BCH that can in turn positively affect the BCH price.
As a conclusion, it is sensible to associate the BCH spike in price with the announcements made by the two exchanges. This leaves me with certainty anticipating a fall in the price of BCH.
Why the price of BCH is overvalued for the bear market
As proven, the surge in both volume and price of Bitcoin Cash was solely caused by the consecutive announcements shown above. Therefore as soon as the Bitcoin Cash screenshot is taken, we will see large sell offs in the asset, causing price depreciations, just as we have experienced with all other Bitcoin forks. People are purely incentivised to buy an asset before it hard forks just to attain the free money that comes with it.
The next reason why I believe there is large appetite for a impactful sell off, possibly even greater than the pump we have seen over the past week is because of the nature of this split. There is NO replay protection implemented as of yet. Now, with there being no replay protection exchanges aren’t willing to list the forked asset as replay attacks pose a huge risk. If we now reminisce on Binance and Coinbase expressing their support for the fork, we can ask ourselves why would they support if there’s no replay protection? The simple answer and most feasible answer is There wont be a chain split which can be subject to replay attacks.
Now let's explore the case of replay protection being added and there is a chain split, creating another token. Should this happen, given the current market sentiment, people will undoubtedly sell off. The first reason why they would sell of is because it will provide them with profitability, meaning they reconfigure their portfolios, purchasing assets currently undervalued, and the second reason being they will now anticipate a sell off from those who simply purchased BCH just for the fork.
Lastly, following our meeting with CSW and SS, we know that nChain and CoinGeek are collectively supportive of low BCH prices, as according to SS it will bankrupt Jihan far sooner than nChain. As the fork commences, It wouldnt surprise me if we see further selling pressure.
Technical Analysis
Exploring the Bitcoin Cash weekly chart above, we see a very significant resistance level at $660. This tells us that it is very hard for price to penetrate this level to the upside.
Breaking this down into the daily chart, we see this level a little clearer. The daily chart produced a wick which failed to pierce the resistance zone, clearly testing the level and failing to brakethrough.
Lastly, the 4hr chart above shows a bearish engulfing candle. This is a strong indication of bearish momentum signifying further movement to the downside.

[uncensored-r/CryptoCurrency] Hard Truths I wish people told me when I started in December, 2017

The following post by Crerilian is being replicated because some comments within the post(but not the post itself) have been openly removed.
The original post can be found(in censored form) at this link: CryptoCurrency/comments/81w14g
The original post's content was as follows:
Ok fellas, with the bull market coming up in the next couple weeks or months I want to give some advice. Like the title reads these are some hard truths, so I expect to be downvoted because I will be shitting on peoples favorite coins. When I first started crypto in December I wish someone sat me down and told me these things. I was on reddit the first time I bought into crypto but it wasn’t much help because people were shilling coins already at the top. Unfortunately reddit is an echo chamber and people choose to listen to stuff that gives them validation. Also, there are people who are either ignorant or disingenuous about advice they’re giving.
  1. Ripple will never reach $100 and that is 100%. It will need a market cap alone of over $1 trillion, and that is more then double the entire crypto market cap. Looking at the ripple subreddit saddens me, because the mental olympics these guys go through to justify it hitting $100 is absurd. I wish it can hit $100 that would be awesome for ripple holders, but it’s just not feasible. Will ripple rise? Of course it will. It was the first coin I bought and many others first coin as well.
  2. Again, back to market cap. Look at market cap not dollar price when looking for investments. Stellar for example is 30 cents but is the 8th most expensive coin. For it to double it will need another $6.5b. I like stellar and what they’re doing not saying its a bad coin, but look at it like this. It was 1 cent in July, 2017. It peaked around 80 cents in January. That is a 80x for people who bought in July. Currently, stellar sits at 30 cents. If you buy in now, if it goes to 60 cents you get a 2x well the people who got in july get a 30x. STOP buying peoples tops, let the new noobs that come into crypto buy YOUR tops. You have to understand a lot of these guys that shill these high marketcap coins either got in really early, or are the suckers who bought the tops without realizing it.
  3. Crypto is a zero sum game. People have to be selling lows and buying highs to make others money. Everyone made money in 2017, because the marketcap of entire crypto did a 42x. It went from 20b-850b. You must understand that this was the most insane bull run in history. Most bubbles do a 5x in 5 years and people call it a crazy bull run. My point with all this is this run made a lot of people think they are geniuses. Don’t take peoples advice just based on the fact they made good money and were in crypto for a year. A dead squirrel could’ve turned $1k into $100k+ last year.
  4. Don’t follow the hive mentality of HODL. Yes, you can’t predict the exact tops or the exact bottoms. Which is why you must take profit gradually. Set targets and when you reach that target pull some money. I’m not saying cash out to fiat, but atleast move that profit into a coin you been wanting to buy that may not have pumped yet. Keep in mind the market always going in cycles and corrects. If you HODL for a year, yes you will make money but it will be significantly less then if you just take profit gradually and use that money to buy the dips. You can’t predict if it will dip tomorrow, next week, or next month, but rest assured it WILL dip.
  5. Make accounts on multiple exchanges. Kucoin, cryptopia, idex, ect. A lot of people just sit on a binance account. If you want good entry points binance already pumps coins to 2-5x their value the second they’re listed. Idex is one of the best opportunities to get good entry points. Coins will be listed here immediately after most ICO’s operating on the ethereum platform.
  6. My biggest learning resource for investments has been following crypto twitter accounts. Guys who have been in this space for years. Anyone can talk and seem knowledgeable, but who actually has the stats to back them up? I went through hundreds of twitter profiles and looked at peoples coin calls from months back. I looked at their success rates and put value on their calls based on that. (For example, one guy called WTC at 35 cents, XRB at 10 cents, and many other winners, I value his opinion the most.) I began noticing patterns in the way these guys call coins. The most successful guys with highest success rates usually call the same coin. I began picking up on their habits and the resources they use, and soon I was buying coins before they even mention them. Also, you want the best entry points crypto moves fast. Reddit I’ve noticed is weeks behind on calls from twitter.
  7. You have to also look at satoshis when your checking if you made money investing into other coins, rather than just holding bitcoin. Your dollar value will increase if bitcoin rises, but if its going down in bitcoin value you were better off just holding bitcoin.
  8. Research, research and research. Seriously, put the time in. Learn what it is your buying. Crypto is not just vaporware their is underlying value in these projects. Read the whitepapers, look at the teams, and become immersed in the community.
This advice isn’t for the person who just wants to put money into a coin and come back next year with 3-10x their money. You can buy nano, neo, ect and I’m sure you’ll be satisfied if that’s what your aiming for. This advice is for guys like me who want to make like changing returns and are willing to put the time in.
One thing I can always tell you is always be curious. Don’t think you know it all. I been in crypto for 45 days and have been reading and reading almost 5+ hours a day, and I’m still learning. Don’t be the sucker buying peoples tops making them rich, in hopes of possibly doubling in a month. This market is too rewarding and this opportunity may never come again. Take advantage of it. I am not writing this for karma or whatever. I genuinely wish everyone can reach their goals and fulfill their dreams. It really hurts me when I see the mass of bad information going around and people being mislead.
I have been commenting on reddit a lot and people keep private messaging me what to buy, and I’m sure it will happen again after this post. So, here is my portfolio in no specific order for those curious. But please do your own research.
  1. Sharder (SS)
  2. Origin Trail (Trac)
  3. Sophiatx (Sphtx)
  4. Bottos (BTO)
  5. Data (DTA)
  6. CargoX (CXO)
  7. carvertical (CV)
  8. Restart Energy MWAT (MWAT)
  9. Tomocoin (TOMO)
  10. Carvertical (CV)
  11. Wepower (WPR)
  12. Matrix AI network (MAN)
I fully expect to be downvoted these aren’t popular opinions but as long as I help out one person it was worth it. Good luck guys, hope you have a life changing year!
Edit: Yes my portfolio is “special”. It is really aggressive, which is why I say “do your own research”.

updating a .gs to retrieve CoinMarketCap data following their transition to new API

Hi, I have been using the following simple .gs to pull CoinMarketCap prices but it is broken now with their migration to their new API. I believe the issue lies with "function getCoins()" but I'm not sure how to proceed given CoinMarketCap's guide here:
var queryString = Math.random();
var ss = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet(); var ssRates = ss.getSheetByName('Rates'); if (ssRates === null) { ssRates = ss.insertSheet('Rates'); }
var targetCurrency = 'usd'
// Grabs all CoinMarketCap data if (typeof targetCurrency == 'undefined' || targetCurrency == '') {targetCurrency = 'usd'}; var coins = getCoins();
function getCryptoData() {
// Use the value in the 'id' field here: // If you're getting errors, you may be using the wrong 'id'
var myCoins = [ '0x', 'adelphoi', 'adx-net', 'aeternity', 'aion', 'aigang', 'airswap', 'appcoins', 'aeron', 'aragon', 'ardor', 'ark', 'aurora-dao', 'banyan-network', 'bitclave', 'bancor', 'basic-attention-token', 'binance-coin', 'bitcoin', 'bitcoin-cash', 'bitcoin-god', 'bitcoin-gold', 'bitcoin-interest', 'bitcoin-token', 'bitcoin-private', 'bitcoinx', 'bitcore', 'bitdegree', 'bitsend', 'bitshares', 'block-array', 'blockmason', 'bytecoin-bcn', 'c20', 'canyacoin', 'cardano', 'chatcoin', 'cheesecoin', 'cindicator', 'civic', 'cofound-it', 'counterparty', 'coss', 'cpchain', 'cybermiles', 'dash', 'datum', 'decred', 'digibyte', 'digixdao', 'district0x', 'dogecoin', 'dragonchain', 'edgeless', 'enjin-coin', 'eboostcoin', 'enjin-coin', 'eos', 'eosdac', 'ethereum-classic', 'ethereum', 'ethlend', 'everex', 'factom', 'filecoin', 'funfair', 'gas', 'gnosis-gno', 'golem-network-tokens', 'groestlcoin', 'guppy', 'havven', 'huobi-token', 'icon', 'iconomi', 'ignis', 'invictus-hyperion-fund', 'iostoken', 'iot-chain', 'iota', 'internet-of-people', 'ixledger', 'kucoin-shares', 'kyber-network', 'legolas-exchange', 'library-credit', 'litecoin', 'lightning-bitcoin', 'maker', 'medical-chain', 'mercury', 'metronome', 'monero', 'nano', 'neo', 'newton-coin-project', 'nexus', 'oax', 'omisego', 'omni', 'odyssey', 'origintrail', 'patientory', 'pivx', 'phore', 'polymath-network', 'power-ledger', 'qash', 'qtum', 'quantstamp', 'raiden-network-token', 'ravencoin', 'rchain', 'reddcoin', 'republic-protocol', 'rialto', 'ripio-credit-network', 'ripple', 'rise', 'rlc', 'salt', 'semux', 'siacoin', 'singulardtv', 'snovio', 'solaris', 'spreadcoin', 'steem', 'stellar', 'storj', 'stratis', 'streamr-datacoin', 'suncontract', 'syscoin', 'telcoin', 'tenx', 'tezos', 'theta-token', 'time-new-bank', 'tron', 'turtlecoin', 'ubiq', 'ultranote-coin', 'vechain', 'verge', 'veriumreserve', 'vertcoin', 'viacoin', 'vibe', 'viberate', 'vinchain', 'wabi', 'waves', 'wax', 'worldcore', 'zcash', 'zclassic', 'zcoin', 'zencash', ]

New To Cryptocurrency

Well thats pretty much it. I have really no idea what I am doing. That said, I have dome some research and attempted to get started. I have a few wallets as of now, some or most still waiting verification. I have setup at epay, paxful, cryptopay, binance, coinbase, and blockchain as of yet.
I have an interest in some alt coins vs bitcoin but I assume more research in time will determine where I invest and start my new business. I have a little understanding on mining and the hardware used, I am aware of GDAX and some crytpos now being traded on the stock exchange. I see the trend in an upward direction and the IRS is now taking note, the new tax bill has some provisions regarding crypto trading, etc... So I feel it is really happening and the decentalization of money, fiat... is a good thing and a must needed step we have to take if we wish to continue our process of evolution.
I have some questions though: I cannot use my debit card for coinbase because it determines it as a prepaid debit card. Now one is just that, a prepaid visa, I put a small amount of money on it just to get started. The other debit I have is from the federal government. It is an account I can wire from but I cannot wire to. It is not a prepaid account but coinbase determines it as such. I would like to find a way around this. Even though I see the fees and such with CB I still feel I want to get some expereince in with that interface. Im also aware that you can instead of using CB to buy btc, you can use GDAX.
I like the looks of GDAX... and after getting my account made and verified with CB, I went to GDAX to login. I had to authorize my computer to login, and thus after I was given a notice on the login screen claiming my account was temperarily locked and that I had to seek [email protected]. So I went thru that process and after filing for request I received the confirmation of request and now I am waiting for them to get back to me. I used my android to make the CB account. Used a computer to use GDAX, did receive the successful authorization notice and reloaded page to login but was shutout. I know I can purchase btc from GDAX but not sure if my debit cards will work there, as with the issue with CB?
I have similar isses with the other "vendors" or are they simply "brokers" ie broker and wallet...
The paxful and blockchain wallets are up okay but I cannot figure out how to jsut buy btc at the going value noted on coinmarketcap. It seems like, I have to buy btc from a seller, and there are fees from them, and or a third party software or wallet, or broker... and I then can give my wallet address for the deposit. I get the very basic idea here? I had to send in my id, my pasport, my ss number, dob... lol address... these are crucial idenfying factors... I thought this crypto was meant to be anonmyous? What do I not understand? I have read some guides and watched tons of videos but don't think I am understanding it, now that I have a direct intention, or goal, idea, on how I want to use crypto, and that maybe the issue among other things?
paxful for example. is a p2p trade platform, if my assumptions are correct. There, you can buy with debit, or credit, or a direct bank transfer, etc... even some with gift cards, but the small details kinda concern me. I had to get authorized and validated with paxful... but why then do i need to send a pic of my id, passport, write a note, and have the card in hand all in a selfie... if I had verified with the broker? Am I correct to consider paxful the broker in this case? the seller, the individual, is also charging a going rate on top of the actual value of the btc... so Im getting the feeling like, identity scam, theft, AND you loose money in the transfer... lol from usd to btc. At least having the risk of the theft and scam of my ID is enough to close the window and laugh out loud and think just a second, from an idiots perspective, this is no where near anonmyous, no where near safe... what the hell is this shit? I have to buy at one place, then exchange, then I can trade on a different platform, I need to have a hardware wallet so I dont get hacked... I mean ... this seems like a lot to take in all at once and I wish it didnt seem so risky.
There seems to lack a one stop shop for common deals... I just want to walk up to an atm, put in cash and get a receipt with a number or code I can scan and it be added to my wallet, via hardware or software or online... I plan on using online or software with the very little money I decided to invest with at the moment but will be getting a hardware wallet once I understand better what is going on. Also, seems to be a lot of opinions on youtube etc... about likes and dislikes... and it really hurts prospective noobs who needs only the facts and the details so we can make a better choice starting out. I don't mean to be a critic here and not offer something in response that could help, I just don't yet understand this and I have decided to go in, but I really need a GREAT source of information for research, like videos for specific trades, sources, and means.
I'm already discouraged, I set up several wallets, or what I thought was a broker to buy btc and trade on, but there are tons of limitations or transfers I have to do... and now all these companies have my sensitive information. I understand this is all a learning experience and I am not freaking out, :) I just need a little hand holding maybe for a few issues I have atm and once I get past that, I think all will be nice.
I really like GDAX, and want to buy from there, but can I use debit... prepaid debit, and if not, where then can I just pay with prepaid debit straight to btc, and I am okay with then moving it to a waller like blockchain or binance.
Im constantly looking for help with the basics, but am flooded with opinions on which is best to trade, and everyone saying HOW EASY IT IS TO BUY BTC ... okay, maybe true but there are tons of limits or redtape, or even fees... and with the sensitive info. it all just makes it a lil discouraging. Could use some help please. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
PS - just to note. The new tax laws... yea wtf... I think now maybe crypto may be such the risk its just not worth my identity and the problems with the irs... I have to report and track all transactions... is this why everyone needs my id cards pictures and selfie with me holding it, or whatnot? seems like a great way to get fucked over... for a few bucks.
Looks like, crypto is dead. no anonimity, I have to pay all these fees, I now have to pay tax on EVERY SINGLE transaction... so its looking like its too late. and If I invest now, its just trouble.
Now maybe a new trype of crypto will come out that will be of a different operation, name and function, so that IRS has to make new law for that, ... so that its not considered a crypto currency, because crypto, imho being the moron here, looks like it was targered and its initiative is lost. they did this to kill it. the US dollar is dominate, though I dont think its really is, and eventually it will fall, by design it is not sustainable. I want out... but IDK how to get in to the new without being a target by the IRS, and or having to play by their rules. we want out and the dollar will collaspe, I feel rather concerned and desperate tbh... its kinda scary. fuck the irs. and fuck you wallstreet. i wouldnt mind if you all made out big but with 9/11 and all that insider trading and the wars and wars, and wars,... the collasping of the housing economy... lol youre not even taking care of your own, how the fuck do you expect to survive much longer? its actually comical, retarded at best. if at least you groomed your front yard, maybe america could be great again.
